Alan Carlin, a scientist who has been with the EPA for 35 years, issued a report directly contradicting the science of man-made global warming.
His report reads “We have become increasingly concerned that EPA and many other agencies and countries have paid too little attention to the science of global warming. EPA and others have tended to accept the findings reached by outside groups…as being correct without a careful and critical examination of their conclusions and documentation.”
On March 12, his boss forbade him from having any communication with anyone outside his office about his study. In a later email, his boss stated “The time for such discussion of fundamental issues has passed for this round. The administrator and the administration has decided to move forward on endangerment, and your comments do not help the legal or policy case for this decision… I can only see one impact of your comments given where we are in the process, and that would be a very negative impact on our office.” In other words, Obama says shut up or else he'll have problems with his cap and tax bill, and the EPA will get a spanking from Obama.
Where's the transparency Obama? Click here to read more, or click here to read the emails, or if you're really bored, you can read the report here.

Tea Party Alert
This isn't really an Obama-nation, I just wanted to alert you to the fact that there are many more tea party protests planned for July 4. Unfortunately I won't be able to attend since we'll be out of town. The website for the next round of protests is teapartypatriots.org. I wish I could go, I loved being surrounded with so many like-minded Americans!!

Cap and Tax Lies and the Liars Who Tell Them
As you've probably already heard, yesterday the House passed the "cap and trade" bill, also known as the "cap and tax" bill. This bill was 1,200 pages long, probably was read by virtually none of the congressmen who passed it, and is a complete piece of #$%^. It seeks to reduce carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions by EIGHTY THREE percent by the middle of the century. It affects none of the real polluters out there (are you listening China and India) but is expected to add around $1,600 (by some estimations) to each US family's expenses annually in the form of higher energy costs and higher costs for everything that's manufactured b/c of the ridiculous burden this bill places on manufacturers.
One the most ridiculous parts of the bill is the fact that that slobbering idiot Barney Frank put a "placeholder" in the bill that apparently will deal with regulations of financial derivatives market associated with reducing carbon emissions. Frank says he is confident a “good system will be in place.” Meaning we are supposed to believe they will come up with something intelligent and insert it where the "placeholder" is. Wait a second, wasn't he the guy who forced banks to make bad loans, leading to the "housing crisis", leading to our current economic state?
In addition, this bill is going to increase costs on our domestic oil by requiring domestic oil producers to pay for carbon dioxide released from their plants. Foreign oil won't have those carbon costs. Wait a second, didn't Obama want to decrease our reliance on foreign oil? Do you think this will help us compete?
Eight horrible Republicans voted for this thing. One proud moment for me was when my congressman, Tom Price, whom I correspond with regularly, stood up and said he wanted a moment of silence for all of those whose jobs will be killed under this bill. He was denied, of course.
Now, Obama is urging the Senate to pass it, saying it will cost each American only the cost of a "postage stamp" per day, and will help us to invest in clean energy. First of all, if I were to believe the lying Obama, I would still have to cough up an extra $1.64 for my family each and every day. I don't want to give DC another stinking PENNY. Second, that completely disregards the fact that this bill is going to force manufacturing jobs overseas. There is no way around that. Since my husband is an engineer for manufacturing plants, this could be bad news. Obama's response? "In California alone, 3,000 people will be employed to build a new solar plant that will create 1,000 permanent jobs." YEAH, RIGHT, just like all those stimulus jobs were going to save us. Just like the unemployment rate was going to drop, not skyrocket. I don't believe one single thing that comes out of that lying liar's mouth.
I heard some more shocking things about this bill (for example, we will be paying Brazil not to cut down trees) but I haven't had time to compile a list. It will come later.
CALL YOUR SENATORS AND TELL THEM IF THEY SIGN THIS, THEY ARE FIRED.

Obama: "No Smoking on My Watch"

I just saw the Obam-inable one on Fox News, proud as a peacock that he was getting ready to sign an anti-smoking bill into law. He was grinning and introducing everyone from members of the CDC to some kids in an anti-smoking group. (Does anyone else find it ironic that a president who himself smokes is passing an anti-smoking law?)
The bill is extensive, and will give the FDA new powers over the tobacco industry. Cigarette cartons will now have to be covered in large graphic warnings. Nicotine levels in cigarettes must be reduced. Cigarettes can't be labeled "light" or "low tar".
No one seems to mind this because it involves the evil tobacco industry. But I mind it! More regulations, a bigger government, more bureaucrats, more expensive cigarettes which means that people who buy them will have less money to spend on other things (like paying me to do an estate plan for them). It's hilarious that he thinks that the government requiring large warnings on cigarette cartons is going to do any good - everyone knows now that smoking is bad for you!!
Why is he worrying about this right now? Has he checked out the state of the economy lately? Has he been listening to Kim Jong Crazypants's warnings about the US interfering with his missile launch he has planned for July 4? Has he seen the people dying in Iran to protest a corrupt election? (Oh, that's right, he used to work for ACORN and he's a Chicago politician, he has no problem with corrupt elections). Oh well, only 1,308 days to go.

Change You Can Believe In
One of my favorite talk show hosts made a list of the change Obama has brought to this country less than 6 months in:
- Trillions added to our national debt.
- American is having trouble getting other countries to buy American debt
- Obama virtually ignores a corrupt election in Iran. We leave it to French President Sarkozy to speak out for the Iranian people wanting a free election.
- GM and Citigroup now government operations. More to come.
- The government (Obama) gets to set executive compensation levels.
- Obama seeking the ability to seize private businesses.
- Firing inspector generals who uncover corruption involving Obama buddies.
- Overturning established law to favor unions over secured creditors in GM's bankruptcy.
- Obama wants to reduce tax deductions for charitable deductions. Government doesn't like competition.
- The Washington DC voucher system, with a great record of success, slated for elimination while Obama's kids go to private school.
- Obama says 8% unemployment max. We're nearing 10%
- Obama moves to raise taxes on the small businesses that create the jobs.
- North Korea threatening to send a missile toward Hawaii
- While NK is lobbing missiles, Obama cuts spending in missile defense systems.

After Gitmo, Live in Paradise on Our Dime
Oh my goodness. If you click on nothing else today, you must read this story. The most outrageous thing I've seen in a long time, although with Obama at the helm I seem to be reading something like this at least once a week.
Four former terror suspects from China, who were being held at Guantanamo Bay prison, are now on a paid permanent vacation in Bermuda at our expense. Just look at them! Swimming in the ocean, fishing, eating ice cream and dreaming of opening their own restaurant and starting families. They are also planning on learning to drive, scuba dive and bowl. All on our dime.

Obama-care? NO THANKS!
Obama wouldn't recognize the truth if it bit him in the butt. His latest rounds of lies today were spewed at an American Medical Association meeting, where he was trying to convince doctors that his healthcare plan isn't actually socialized medicine and the country will come to an end if we don't adopt it. The good news? He was booed by doctors. What's wrong with you doctors? You don't want to become government bureaucrats after spending 25 years of working your butts off to become doctors?
The funniest part of his speech? After warning of all the doom and gloom that would be America if the government doesn't take over health care, he had the audacity to state that "we know there are those who will try to scuttle" the program no matter what. He said that "because these fear tactics have worked, things have kept getting worse." He says that opponents of his healthcare plan use "fear tactics"? Those in glass houses should not throw stones. That's all he does is try to scare us into doing what he wants. Remember what he said would happen if we didn't pass his precious spendulus bill asap? Well all of that and worse has happened.
The funniest part of this whole plan? He claims he has now found the $$ to pay for his socialized medicine plans. He claims to have found $313 billion in savings to pay for it. Wait, I thought this was going to cost us a trillion. And also, last I checked, he had spent $1 trillion on his stimulus package and gave us a $1 trillion deficit for this year. So the way I see it, he needs to take care of paying that off before mysteriously "finding money" for his health care plan.

The Spend-ulus Package is a Complete Failure
Also, Obama-nation reader Rose pointed out that Obama promised to deliver more than 600,000 jobs this summer with his $787 billion stimulus package (experts put the actual cost at more than $1 trillion, but we'll give him the benefit of the doubt). That equals out to about $1.3 million in borrowed funds per job, not to mention the interest that's racking up daily.

Obama Says No More "Climate Altering Gases" Allowed!
Looks like Obama is up to some more of his old tricks again, in the form of wealth redistribution from the rich to the poor. Although this plan is currently in Congress and hasn't been signed by the chosen one, it has the stink of Obama all over it.
Check out this - there is a plan underway to auction off permits to companies that produce "climate altering gases". The money from those permits will be given to low income consumers to help pay for higher energy bills, among other things.
There are SO many things wrong with this, where do I start: first of all, there is no consensus in the scientific community that man made global warming (or "climate change") is even occurring. So why are we spending $$ we don't have to combat something scientists can't even agree is occurring? Second, who is even going to be paying for these permits? Companies, who are going to pass those costs onto everyone. What about the higher energy bills of middle income and high income Americans - we're going to be tagged with an extra $100 to $1,600 a year because of this, and you can bet those estimates are on the low end. How many jobs are going to be lost because companies can't or don't want to deal with these regulations? How much is this massive regulation going to cost us in the form of salaries and perks for the bureaucrats who are going to enforce it? I could go on and on, but you get the point.

Obama's Pay "Czar" and More Money We Don't Have
A couple of new things to get your blood boiling before the weekend:
- the White House is going to appoint a "pay czar" to regulate the pay of employees of companies receiving bailout funds. Or to insure that high level employees that are the brains behind the company leave in favor of overseas companies that don't regulate their employees' pay. Right now the White House just wants to regulate the pay of companies receiving federal money and they can make a decent argument for why they need to do that. But how long until they try to regulate your pay? Sound ludicrous? The White House is taking over companies right and left. They are dying to get their hands on healthcare. How long before they tell us what doctors and nurses can make? They are handing out money to states right and left. How long will it be before they tell us what state employees can make? At the rate they are going, I fear that no one is safe.
- Back in April I told you that Obama wants to lend $100+ Billion to the International Monetary Fund. Now Democrats are trying to make him happy by sticking a multi-billion loan to the IMF onto a war supplemental bill that's supposed to be voted on next week. Disgusting. Click here to read more.

Obama Hearts Muslims and Illegals, Hates Used Cars
Another week, more slacking on my Obama-nations of the day. So here are several that should keep you mad enough for the next week or so:
1. Obama took a trip to the middle east and began, once again, telling the world how much Muslims rock. He seems to have completely forgotten that it was radical Muslims who have committed almost every single act of terrorism against this country. Yes, I recognize a difference between mainstream Muslims and radical Muslims, but I don't think we need to constantly tell them how great they are either. This is also the same guy who said while on the campaign trail that "we are no longer a Christian nation". He had the nerve to say on French TV that the US is "one of the largest Muslim nations". In fact, we have only 2.3 million muslims (less than 1% of the population, although other sources put the number higher) and we are in fact 38th in the world in terms of our muslim population.
In addition, he seems to have no problem emphasizing his Muslim roots now, although no one was allowed to mention them on the campaign trail or else they were called racist or worse. Here's a fascinating article about the hypocrisy by an ABC news guy.
Believe it or not, I actually defended him twice while he was campaigning to two people who told me they weren't voting for him b/c he was Muslim. I won't be making that mistake again; I'm starting to think they were right.
2. Obama wants to call on Congress to pass "fleet modernization legislation" that would give consumers who "turn in used cars" a credit to buy "cleaner, more fuel efficient cars". This article makes the point that that could seriously hurt the used car industry, not to mention the fact that the US is BROKE. Where does Obama think the money to do this is coming from? That's right, my children's grandchildren.
3. More close to home for me, the state of Georgia last year put together a program that would match GA drivers license records with voting records to determine if illegal aliens were voting. Because that's illegal. So naturally, it should be stopped, right? WRONG. The Obama administration said that it was illegal and discriminatory b/c applicants who are Hispanic, black or Asian would be more likely to be "flagged for additional scrutiny". Really? I'm shocked that more hispanics than whites might be illegal aliens. Never mind the fact that two federal courts already gave the program the green light. What is going on here? Does it have anything to do with the fact that illegal aliens vote for Democrats? Click here to read more about this.
