Change You Can Believe In, Part 2

OK, now I'm really mad. Obama's actions have hit close to home - my handsome hubby got laid off. I know the economy was going down when he took office, but Obama's stupid actions haven't helped. Instead of spending $1 trillion on nothing, which is what the spend-ulus package did, maybe instead he could have said no capital gains tax for a year. Or tax incentives to small businesses. Or anything other than blowing $1 trillion on things as ridiculous as hybrid vehicles we don't need, Amtrak and turning federal buildings into green spaces, none of which helps anyone I know but all of which will hurt everyone I know in the long run.

A little comic relief: Obama wants to impose an extra tax on aspirin. Why? Because it's white and it works.

Now, my Obama-nation: Obama's fuzzy math. During his press conference the other night, he claimed he's created or saved 150,000 jobs. Actually, we've lost 1 million jobs since Oh-crap took office. His 150K figures comes from what his advisors THINK the stimulus bill is doing. Click here to read more.

Another example of his fuzzy math? His tax cut to 95 percent of Americans. He claims that if you are refinancing your house, you are getting the equivalent of another tax cut: "And we launched a housing plan that has already contributed to a spike in the number of homeowners who are refinancing their mortgages, which is the equivalent of another tax cut."

Sometimes I wish I lived in his fantasy world. : (
