Horrifying Choice for Barack

Obama's appointment of Eric Holder as attorney general is something I've been meaning to write about for a while. This is a horrible choice and reflects the inexperience Obama brings to the office. The more I read about Holder, the worse things get.

During the Clinton era, Holder played a leading role in the pardoning of fugitive billionaire Marc Rich. Holder was deputy attorney general under Clinton. Rich was a commodities trader who fled the U.S. in the early 80s to avoid prosecution for trading with the enemy, racketeering and tax evasion. Rich's wife was a major donor to the Clinton library, the Clinton legal defense fund and the Democratic party. Rich's attorneys miraculously received a pardon for their client from Bill Clinton by circumventing normal pardon requesting procedures. By definition, Rich was ineligible for a pardon and congressional panels were called to investigate how he received a pardon only hours before Clinton left office.

The congressional report released about the sale of the pardon stated that Holder played a major role in obtaining the illegal pardon, by assisting Rich's attorney Jack Quinn with the brokering the pardon. As deputy attorney general, he had to issue an assessment of the pardon request and he ruled he was leaning towards granting the pardon. Holder later admitted he wanted Quinn's help in his becoming attorney general in a Gore administration. Holder offered lame excuses for his role in the pardon by first claiming he didn't know who Rich was, then claiming he didn't think a pardon would be issued to a known fugitive. There are fascinating articles here and here which detail the completely ridiculous behavior of Holder.

Some other little tidbits about Holder I hate:

• He played a key role in the gunpoint kidnapping of Elian Gonzalez;
• He absolutely hates guns. He advocated federal licensing of handgun owners, a three day waiting period on handgun sales, rationing handgun sales to no more than one per month, banning possession of handguns and so-called “assault weapons” (cosmetically incorrect guns) by anyone under age of 21, a gun show restriction bill that would have given the federal government the power to shut down all gun shows, national gun registration, and mandatory prison sentences for trivial offenses (e.g., giving your son an heirloom handgun for Christmas, if he were two weeks shy of his 21st birthday). He also promoted the factoid that “Every day that goes by, about 12, 13 more children in this country die from gun violence”–a statistic is true only if one counts 18-year-old gangsters who shoot each other as “children.” . . . Bottom line, this guy is almost as frightening as Barack himself.

Way to Change your Position Barack!

This piece of news isn't really that much of an Obamanation to me. I think Bush has done a great job of keeping America safe. But it's completely the opposite of everything B.O. said when he was running for president:

Remember how opposed Barack was to the war and how horrible he made Bush and McCain out to be when he discussed the war? Remember some horribly offensive remark he made about our troops air-raiding villages and killing civilians? Well, now that he's almost in office, maybe Bush's policies aren't looking so bad - he kept Bush's defense secretary and the news now is that he's keeping most of Bush's political appointees at the Pentagon. Is he realizing that conservative policies are the only way for this country to succeed?

I know this is just a joke, that's not actually his home phone number, but hats off to whoever did it. Ha ha.

No Conscience Allowed

This week, Bush's people are finalizing a federal regulation allowing medical staff a right to refuse to participate in any procedure they object to on moral grounds. This is mainly aimed at abortion. The regulation is expected to be published this week, and it will take 30 days to be issued. For decades, federal law has said that health care workers can't be forced to perform abortions. The new Bush rules broaden the law to allow health care workers to refuse to provide information, such as a referral, to patients seeking abortions.

According to the Wall Street Journal, officials in Obama's administration are already considering when and how to undo the regulation. Officials close to Obama's transition team have stated they intend to begin the regulatory process to overturn the regulation. Click here to read more.

Too bad health care workers, under Obama's regulations you are not allowed to have a conscience. Very fitting for the new administration.

Wow, Another Crook in Obama's Life

He knows how to pick them:

his pick for energy czar (whatever that is, it sounds like a made up job that pays a lot to me): Carol Browner. On her last day in office in 2000 as head of the EPA, she oversaw the destruction of computer files although a federal judge ordered her to preserve its records. She claimed she was merely deleting computer games on her hard drive as a "courtesy" to the incoming Bush administration. Lovely. The EPA was later determined to be in contempt of court. Early in her term as head of the EPA, she got caught using taxpayer funds to create and mail illegal lobbying materials to environmental lobbying organizations.

Here's a side note: I'm sure you are all familiar with the Associated Press, which is the only nationally oriented news service based in the U.S. It supplies news stories to newspapers, radio and T.V. stations. You have to hand it to them, they know how to uncover and report juicy stories - did you know on December 10 they cracked the story of Obama's associations with some extremely shady characters? Click here to read more. Wow, where on earth did they hear that? It must have been their top notch journalism. Too bad they waited until after the election to report it - well, I'm sure it was just an oversight, won't happen again, and has nothing to do with the fact he's a liberal and they're in love with him.

No More Debt Obama!

Obama wants to spend his way out of a recession. His plan "might reach $1 trillion over two years". One TRILLION dollars we are most likely borrowing from China? Why does he think borrowing our way out of economic trouble is the answer? What about those checks sent to everyone earlier this year? Did they do one iota of good for the economy? Where are all the fiscal conservatives?

You know how Obama is constantly blaming Bush and the republicans for the economy? And for some reason the polls always favored Obama when the economy mess hit the fan? The mess was caused by too many bad home loans given to people who shouldn't have qualified for them. The republicans tried to sound the warning bell but the dems didn't listen (even Saturday Night Live admitted this in a hilarious skit - click here to watch).

Did you know Obama's name appears on a lawsuit on behalf of ACORN, which sued Citibank for failing to make loans to minorities? Why do you think Citibank wouldn't make loans to said minorities? Is it because they wouldn't qualify for a loan? Do you think these practices are what led to the mess?

Barack Loves Abortion

"The first thing I'd do as President is sign the Freedom of Choice Act. That's the first thing I'd do" said Barack Obama while speaking to the Planned Parenthood Action fund in July 2007.

What is the Freedom of Choice Act? Click here to read the full bill. The Act would nullify the ban on partial birth abortion by the Supreme court, as well as disallow states from placing ANY restrictions on abortion whatsoever - including requiring parental consent for minors, requiring waiting periods, requiring information be given to women about the abortion procedure as well as fetal development.

I plan on devoting more attention to this issue later. It's too important to treat lightly and I don't have a lot of time to delve in now. I'll leave you with this quote from Barry O.: "I am going to teach [my daughters] first of all about values and morals. But if they make a mistake, I don't want them punished with a baby."

That's right, no life is sacred to Obama, and that includes his grandchildren.

Are you a Liar Mr. Obama?

Someone is lying:

Yesterday, Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich was arrested for trying to sell Obama's senate seat, as I'm sure you all know. Blagojevich didn't see why he should just give it away for free: "I've got this thing and it's [expletive] golden and uh, uh, I'm not just giving it up for [expletive] nothing."

Obama claims he knew nothing of what was going on: "I had no contact with the governor or his office and so we were not, I was not aware of what was happening."

Yes, I'm sure Obama did not care who was taking his Senate seat and never talked to the governor about who his pick would be. Of course not. I believe you Obama.

However, Obama's senior adviser David Axelrod appeared on Fox News Chicago on November 23 and said something a little different.While insisting that the President-elect had not expressed a favorite to replace him, and his inclination was to avoid being a "kingmaker," Axelrod said, "I know he's talked to the governor and there are a whole range of names many of which have surfaced, and I think he has a fondness for a lot of them." Axelrod has since said he misspoke.

Hmmm, I think this whole thing smells. I don't think Obama would be involved in something so stupid as selling his senate seat or keeping quite while the idiot governor sold the seat, so why does he deny even speaking to him at all??? Why not say, "yes, I've spoken to him about the senate seat but I certainly wasn't aware that any of this was going on"?

Someone is lying, either Obama or Axelrod.

Obama's Patriotism

A quote from Obama: "I don't care what they say about me but I love this country too much to let them take over another election". That's right, Obama has suddenly been hit with a wave of patriotism! After refusing to wear a flag lapel pin, after being married to a woman who says she was never proud of her country until Obama got the democratic nomination, after surrounding himself his entire life with people who absolutely hate this country, suddenly Obama has stars and stripes in his eyes. Give me a break! His complete B.S. is Obam-inable.

Obama's Tax Plan

This is old news, but I'm sorting through my archived emails:

Obama claims he wants to cut income taxes on 95% of Americans. Which I don't believe, but say I did. Did you know that between 30 and 40 percent of Americans don't even pay income taxes? Typically this is because their income is too low to meet the minimum threshold to pay taxes.

Now how do you think you cut taxes on people who pay no taxes? Either (1) you don't, and he is lying, or (2) he gives tax refunds to people who pay no taxes.I actually don't think he is lying, I think he wants to give tax refunds to people who pay no taxes. That's right, you file your tax return, showing that you paid no taxes either because you are lazy, unskilled, or maybe you've fallen on hard times. Then you get a check for $2,000 in the mail from the people who go to work all day. That's called income redistribution and it should be Obama's middle name - actually, it might be a better name than Hussein.

Obama's Poor School

Did you know there's a school in Kenya named after Obama? It was named after Obama in 2005, and was built on land donated by his grandparents. He visited the school amid great fanfare and said he was honored and promised to help the school financially. Shortly thereafter, the principal mailed a proposal to him, asking for around 65,000 pounds to build a water tank, a fence, dining halls, a science lab and classrooms.
Do you think she has heard from him since? NO! Of course not. This is not an isolated incident in Obama's life - he hasn't helped his half brother in Africa or his aunt living in a slum in Boston, both of whom are living well below the poverty level. He doesn't want to spread his own wealth around, only everyone else's.

More Shady $$ for Barack

Obama received more political contribution $$ from Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae (now collapsed) than all but one of the 353 other senators and congressmen who received political contributions from these two entities. Nineteen years of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae statistics show that he received over $120K despite being in the Senate only 3 years. Only one other senator received more (Chris Dodd) and he's been in the Senate for 33 years!

Way to Support Our Troops, B.O.

Quote from Obama: "We've got to get the job done there and that requires us to have enough troops so that we're not just air-raiding villages and killing civilians."

Obama thinks our troops are air raiding villages and killing civilians. He has a pathetic view of our troops and a pathetic view of America.

Obama's Shady Funding Sources

Obama's campaign was funded by foreign citizens.

Campaigns do not have to disclose anyone who contributes under $200. John McCain disclosed all of his donors, regardless of contribution. BO did not. Surprisingly, the vast majority of Obama supporters' donations are less that $200. More than half of the over $400 million B.O. has raised has come from secret sources.

“We and seven other watchdog groups asked both campaigns for more information on small donors,” says Massie Ritsch, a spokesperson for a campaign watchdog group. “The Obama campaign never responded,” whereas the McCain campaign “makes all its donor information, including the small donors, available online.”

The FEC has compiled a separate database of potentially questionable overseas donations that contains more than 11,500 contributions totaling $33.8 million. More than 520 listed their “state” as “IR,” often an abbreviation for Iran. Another 63 listed it as “UK,” the United Kingdom.

More than 1,400 of the overseas entries clearly were U.S. diplomats or military personnel, who gave an APO address overseas. Their total contributions came to just $201,680.

But others came from places as far afield as Abu Dhabi, Addis Ababa, Beijing, Fallujah, Florence, Italy, and a wide selection of towns and cities in France.

Until recently, the Obama Web site allowed a contributor to select the country where he resided from the entire membership of the United Nations, including such friendly places as North Korea and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Unlike McCain’s or Sen. Hillary Clinton’s online donation pages, the Obama site did not ask for proof of citizenship until just recently. Clinton’s presidential campaign required U.S. citizens living abroad to actually fax a copy of their passport before a donation would be accepted.
With such lax vetting of foreign contributions, the Obama campaign may have indirectly contributed to questionable fundraising by foreigners.

ACORN + Obama = Fraud

Before I get to another of Obama's misdeeds, let me say it makes me sick the mainstream media basically operated Obama's campaign for him. A quote from an anonymous employee at a major newsroom: "Off the record, every suspicion you have about mainstream media being in the tank for O is true. We have a team of 4 people going thru dumpsters in Alaska and 4 in arizona. Not a single one looking into Acorn, Ayers or Freddiemae. Editor refuses to publish anything that would jeopardize election for O, and betting you dollars to donuts same is true at NYT, others. People cheer when CNN or NBC run another Palin-mocking but raising any reasonable inquiry into Obama is derided or flat out ignored. The fix is in, and its working."



My Obama-nation of the day, and this is a major one: ACORN

ACORN stands for Association of Community Organizers for Reform Now. Obama gave them $800,000 (which he tried to hide). He also worked closely with ACORN in Chicago. Also, while he served on the board of directors of the Woods Fund, the fund sent grants to ACORN (as well as Jeremiah Wright's church). ACORN purports to engage in "get out the vote" projects. What ACORN actually does is commit voter fraud, and is being investigated in various cities across the country.

What ACORN has done:

• registered fake voter names in Milwaukee
• in New Mexico, hired convicts to collect voter registration information
• Last year in Washington, felony charges were filed against several paid employees and supervisors of ACORN. Over 1,700 fraudulent registrations turned in by the employees were revoked in one of the largest instances of voting fraud in the United States.
• In March of 2008, an ACORN worker was sentenced in Berks County Pennsylvania to 146 days to 23 months in the county prison for making 29 phony voter-registration forms to collect a cash bonus from ACORN
• Dale Rathke, brother of ACORN founder, Wade Rathke, embezzled nearly $1 million from Acorn and affiliated charitable organizations in 1999 and 2000 but a small group of executives decided to keep the information from almost all of the group’s board members and not to alert law enforcement. Dale Rathke remained on Acorn’s payroll until a month ago, when disclosure of his theft by foundations and other donors forced the organization to dismiss him.
• As of July 2008, at least three ACORN workers have been convicted of voter fraud in Kansas City, and one is awaiting trial. These ACORN workers in Kansas City flooded voter registration rolls with over 35,000 false or questionable voter registration forms.
  St. Louis, Mo., officials found that in 2006 over 1,000 addresses listed on its registrations did not exist. “We met twice with ACORN before their drive, but our requests completely fell by the wayside,” said Democrat Matt Potter, the city’s deputy elections director. Later, federal authorities indicted eight of the group’s local workers. One of the eight pleaded guilty last month.
• The Consumers Rights League reports that ACORN used taxpayer money to support “corporate shakedown tactics, counseling of potential homebuyers to use “undocumented” or “under the table” income to obtain mortgages, and to assist in obtaining mortgages for undocumented workers.
• Back in the '80s and '90s, ACORN's tactics included trespassing, illegal seizure of private property, physical harassment, intimidation and outright extortion.
  For example, in 1985, ACORN illegally seized 25 abandoned buildings owned by New York City and installed squatters as residents. A weak-kneed City Hall eventually gave the group title to the buildings - proving that crime can pay.

This is the group that Obama gave $800,000 to and worked closely with?????

Obama's Already Ignoring the Constitution

Obama allegedly plans to nominate Hillary for Secretary of State today. Did you know the Constitution prohibits this? Obama doesn't care, he's made clear many times his disdain for the Constitution.

The Constitution reads: No Senator or Representative shall, during the time for which he was elected, be appointed to any civil office under the authority of the United States, which shall have been created, or the emoluments whereof shall have been increased during such time: and no person holding any office under the United States, shall be a member of either House during his continuance in office.

A Senator, like Hillary, is prohibited from serving in any federal office "created" or if the "emoluments whereof" (compensation) were increased during the Senator's term. In 2008, the Secretary of State's salary was increased. Because the increase occurred during the time Hillary was a Senator, she can't be Secretary of State. It's crystal clear.

Do you think Obama doesn't know this? He used to be a lecturer on Constitutional law. Since he wants to change this country, and has made it clear many times what he thinks of the Constitution, what better way to start than to ignore this tiny little clause that most people won't care about anyway?

Barack = Resume Inflater

This is a fascinating article about Barack - proving the guy is a HUGE resume-inflater. In one of his two touching, lie-ridden memoirs, he claims to have worked in a Wall Street/investment firm type place, which is far from reality. Several of his former co-workers chimed in on the comments, so don't skip those.

No National Security Clearance for Obama!

Shouldn't the president of the U.S. be able to qualify for a basic government security clearance? He is, after all, the most powerful person in the world, protector of the U.S. and defender of its secrets.
But B.O., by many accounts, would not qualify for one, even though unfortunately that's not a requirement to be president. Here are some reasons:
1. having foreign national relatives who are not friendly to the U.S.
2. drug use
3. ties to known terrorists
4. his issues with honesty

Senior pastor of St. Sabina church in Chicago. He endorses Barack Obama and was featured prominently on his website as a supporter (but later deleted from this site after his views became public). Donated $$ to Barack over the years and, not coincidentally, received $225K in state grants for his church. He's been referred to as the "white Jeremiah Wright." He's threatened to "snuff out" gun supporters in Chicago. He mocked Hillary's "white entitlement". Below I've pasted more of one of his "sermons".

Taxpayer Funded Abortions

In a speech he gave to a group in Washington D.C., Obama offered a vision of equal opportunity for women, tying a call for improved access to contraceptives for low-income women with a call for an "updated social contract" that includes paid maternity leave and expanded school hours. Asked about his proposal for expanded access to health insurance, Obama said it would cover "reproductive-health services." Contacted afterward, an Obama spokesman said that included abortions.

Bottom line, Obama's campaign has had many chances to deny it would use YOUR tax dollars to pay for abortions.

Make Up Your Mind, Obama

During the campaign, all we heard from Obama was that people making over $250K (and later, $150K) a year were going to get their taxes raised. They needed to "do their patriotic duty." They didn't need the money anyway, and the tax hikes were only going to affect the wealthiest people in this country. Obama wanted to "spread the wealth around". He was tired of the Bush administration giving the wealthy tax breaks and hoping the effect would trickle down to everyone else. Click here to watch an example. Obama thought it would be better for the government to determine who gets what rather than the person who earned it. Obama thought it would be best to take money out of the hands of the job-creators and give it to the government which screws up everything it gets its hands on (except the military). The government was allegedly going to use that money to give to the non-wealthy and for new government projects.

Well guess what, now since the economy's tanking, he's thinking maybe it's not such a good idea to increase taxes on the rich - click here.

So what's the deal Obama? Are you now admitting that the best way to grow the economy is not to take money from the producers? Does that mean you were lying during the campaign or pandering to your brain-dead followers to get votes? Which one is it Mr. Obama, does the economy grow or not if you let the wealthy keep their money and spend it as they please? And if it helps the economy to let people keep what they earn, why wouldn't that have been your plan from the beginning?

Although I admit I am pleased he is rethinking his tax policy, I still think he's Obam-inable!

Sleaze of the day: James Meeks

The pastor of Salem Baptist church in Chicago. An Illinois state senator. Obama has referred to him as his "spiritual adviser."

Meeks is very racist. One of his quotes from his "sermon": "We don't have slave masters, we got mayors. But they are still the same white people who are presiding over systems where black people are not able to be educated. You got some preachers that are house n-ggers. You got some elected officials that are house n-ggers. Rather than them try and break this up, they're gonna fight you to protect that white man."

He also said that any white Christian who didn't vote for him was a racist.

Obama the Crackhead

Reader Jerry sent me this article, written in January 2007, about Obama's past cocaine use: click here. Yes, that's right, our president-elect was a crackhead.
The article is almost funny, because it wonders what effect his previous drug use will have on his campaign and points out criticisms other candidates have faced because of drug or alcohol use. The article points out a quote from a Republican strategist who said that "Obama had not yet gone through an intense vetting process" so he couldn't tell the effect of his cocaine use on whether or not he'd be president.

Green Cars for You, but not for Barack!

This is a hilarious article about Barack's new monster gas-guzzling president-mobile. After his promise to get a million hybrid cars on the road by 2015.
His gas guzzler is based on a GMC truck that gets less than 10 miles per gallon.
Although of course the primary concern of the president's car is safety, according to the article there are hybrids that could be adapted to his safety needs.
This article reminds me of Al Gore's pool house that burned $500 in electricity a month.

No More of my Money, Obama!

Does Obama think the U.S. treasury consists of a blank checkbook with unending piles of cash for him to spend? Apparently so.
From his radio address on Saturday:
“(My stimulus plan) will be a two-year, nationwide effort to jumpstart job creation in America and lay the foundation for a strong and growing economy. We’ll put people back to work rebuilding our crumbling roads and bridges, modernizing schools that are failing our children, and building wind farms and solar panels, fuel-efficient cars and the alternative energy technologies that can free us from our dependence on foreign oil and keep our economy competitive in the years ahead.”

Thanks but no thanks Obama. Last time I checked, the country's debt was $10 trillion, and I don't need you borrowing more money from China or printing money to pour into failing schools or to build wind farms or solar panels, which I think are a stupid waste of money. No thank you!!
And what crumbling roads and bridges is he talking about? Give me a break.

No School Choice for You!

Challenge: Make a list of the things the government does well. Probably a short list, right?

But by and large we let the government educate our children. And not only that, we let the government tell us which school will educate our children for us.

Imagine that scenario in any other area of our lives: the government telling me "Sarah, you live in Sector 4. You can only shop at grocery store number 17. You can only go to hospital number 5". There's no way anyone would stand for that, right? But we allow the government to tell us exactly what school our children would go to, with very few acceptable alternatives in place.

Did you know the city of Atlanta spends $11,000 to educate each child in its school system? Take a wild guess at the quality of their schools: crappy. Did you know that for $14,000 per year, a child can attend the most expensive private school in my area? There are many, many great private schools for much less than that.

Hey, here's a wild idea, how about if we give each parent a voucher worth what the government spends on your child and the parent picks the school the child attends? Do you think if there was competition for those dollars, almost instantly the public schools would transform themselves so they could compete with the private schools? Hmmm. If they didn't, they would find new areas of work. If you can't succeed, you should figure out a new plan. Unless you're a bank, an automaker, or can't pay your mortgage.

Now, to my Obama-nation of the day: Obama hates the voucher system. A great article here.
His solution: pouring more money into the failing school system. Sending his daughters to very expensive private schools in Chicago and D.C. (one year at the DC elementary school costs more than my entire law school education). He attacked John McCain's plan to increase the voucher system in the D.C. schools, among the worst of the worst. D.C. schools spend almost $16,000 per pupil and only 12% of 8th graders are proficient in reading. Obama promised to spend $18 billion in federal tax dollars on education.

Great plan Obama. Spend more money. Why would he be opposed to vouchers? Is it because liberals just love big government, and vouchers would remove an important part of the government from the lives of millions of Americans? Is it because if America had a well-educated electorate, he wouldn't have stood a snowball's chance in hell of being allowed to take a tour of the White House, much less gotten himself elected? Is it because if Americans had a clue, they would realize conservatism is the way to go? Hmmm.

Sex Ed for 5 Year Olds

Barack Obama told Planned Parenthood that sex education for kindergarteners, as long as it is "age-appropriate," is "the right thing to do."
"I remember Alan Keyes . . . I remember him using this in his campaign against me," Obama said in reference to the conservative firebrand who ran against him for the U.S. Senate in 2004. Sex education for kindergartners had become an issue in his race against Keyes because of Obama’s work on the issue as chairman of the health committee in the Illinois state Senate.
"'Barack Obama supports teaching sex education to kindergarteners,'" said Obama mimicking Keyes' distinctive style of speech. "Which -- I didn’t know what to tell him (laughter)."
"But it’s the right thing to do," Obama continued, "to provide age-appropriate sex education, science-based sex education in schools."

Thanks Obama, but no thanks. My kids can learn what they need to know from me, not the government.

Barack's Pal of the day: Franklin Raines

Fannie Mae recently collapsed. Raines was the head of it while it was going under but resigned four years ago under the shadow of a $6.3 billion accounting scandal. He made millions. He was almost criminally charged for Fannie Mae fraud in April of this year but cut a deal, giving up $24 million in future payouts to avoid prosecution. He served as Obama's chief advisor on mortgage and housing policy, even after the truth of his misdeeds came to light. Hmmm.

Is Anybody Else Boycotting Oprah?

This is a tad off-topic but it's almost the weekend and I'm feeling silly.
First and foremost, I have been a big Oprah fan for a while. I drove myself and my 18 month old daughter from Atlanta to Chicago in February 2007 to see her show being taped. I also used to record it every day. As a stay-at home mom, she covered a lot of issues that are important to me. I always knew she was a liberal but she didn't mention it much so I ignored it.
I am ignoring it no longer. First, she endorses Barack. I overlooked it. Then, she refuses to have Palin on her show, which is supposed to be about empowering women. I overlooked it. She refers to him as "the one" repeatedly in a speech. I ignored it. She gets so hysterical over seeing him at the Democratic National Convention that she cries off her fake eyelashes. I ignored it. Then, she gloats like crazy over Obama's win the day after. I boycotted her for a few days, but then tuned in to watch a few days later when Jennifer Aniston was on. Well guess what, she was still talking about it then. I got disgusted and canceled the series recording for good on my DVR. No more Oprah.
Someone needs to tell Queen Oprah that not everyone is giddy about Barack Obama. In fact, I'd say at least 57 million Americans aren't excited about him. I'd say a large portion of Oprah's audience consists of stay-at-home moms. Guess what Oprah, I know many stay-at-home moms, have discussed the election with many stay-at-home moms and none of them were Barack supporters.
I can't speak for anyone but myself but she has finally crossed the line with me. No more watching you fawn over your celebrity friends, no more hearing you espouse your socialistic principles, and no more rushing out to grab the latest bestseller that you recommend. Sorry lady, you've had your last chance with this former viewer.

Michelle Obama vs. Cindy McCain

I realize that the point is moot now that Michelle will be first lady and not Cindy, but I sent this out to my family in September:

Barack Obama has spent two years telling America that his wife works for the community of south-side Chicago, making Americans think Mrs. Obama devotes her life to charity work. The opposite is true: Mrs. Obama sits on the board of University of Chicago Medical Center and is paid over $200K per year for her work. It’s been reported that a patient can only be treated at the hospital if he or she has insurance, yet Michelle Obama claims she fights for those in need.

Cindy McCain saves lives without receiving one dime; she has literally gotten down in the trenches with people less fortunate, never seeking praise or money.The only thing Americans hear about Cindy McCain is she is the chairperson of her father’s Anhauser-Bush beer distributorship, Hensley & Company, and her personal net worth is $100 million dollars. Many do not realize Mrs. McCain’s father borrowed the money to start his business in 1955; one year after his daughter was born. Cindy McCain was not born to wealth. The media and press never tell her real accomplishments of service to those in need around the world.The media has devoted two years to praising Mrs. Obama because she’s married to B.O., but what has she essentially done that makes her First Lady material? Michelle Obama has no track record as a lawyer fighting for the community; her reputation of service is based on what she and her husband have invented for the media.

Get Over Yourself Obama

Did you know he created an "Office of the President Elect", which doesn't even exist, complete with its own made-up seal? He can't even wait a couple of months to start his reign?

When he was running for President, he made up his own Presidential looking seal. The seal looked a lot like the President's official seal, but instead of the shield over the eagle's breast (which represents the duty of the President to uphold the Consititution), there was an O and an image of a rising sun. I'm not surprised he would remove the object that represents the duty of the President to uphold the Constitution and replace it with an O, since he's made it clear he doesn't admire the Constitution.

Obama, Please Help

I only had the chance to listen to about 15 minutes of talk radio today (two different shows). The hosts of both shows mentioned that the reason the stock market is tanking every single day is simply fear. Fear of what an Obama administration could do to businesses in this country: raise taxes and impose new regulations.
Both hosts pointed out that Obama could easily issue a one paragraph statement to reassure investors in these troubled times that he won't raise taxes on them in the immediate future and the stock market would immediately rise as investors' fears cooled. That's all. It's easy and he would come out looking like a hero. Heck, even I would be happy with him.
Will he do it? Doubtful.

Barack's pal of the day: Louis Farrakhan

The Supreme Minister of the Nation of Islam, he currently lives in Chicago. He blames the U.S. government for the levee breaches in New Orleans - he claims the U.S. bombed them as an attempt to wipe out black people. He is widely seen as being extremely racist against white people and Jews (and called Hitler a great man). I could make a very long list of his hate filled comments, but I have other things to do.

Ties to Obama: Obama's church gave him an award while Obama was a member, calling him a "truly great man". But even more important, Barack organized Farrakhan's Millions Man March in 1995.

Was Obama Born in Kenya?

Reader Bill pointed me to this lawsuit filed in District Court in August, which states that Obama was born in Kenya.

Obama had until October 15 to reply, and because he didn't, he legally "admitted" that he was born in Kenya as the lawsuit alleges. As I'm sure everyone knows, a person has to be born in the United States to be president. The lawsuit was later dismissed.

Personally, I find it hard to believe that the DNC wouldn't have investigated his birthplace before allowing him to become its nominee for president. I doubt Hillary Clinton would have let that slide either.

But Phillip Berg, the Democrat who filed the suit, alleged he had a recording of Barack's grandmother stating Barack was born in Kenya, then was flown to Hawaii and was registered there. This is a fascinating article on the subject.

Why the heck does all this controversy even exist? If you want to be the most powerful person in the United States, you should be required to prove you meet the most basic qualifications. Barack could end all the questions by placing an original birth certificate on his website, but has refused to do so. Instead, he placed a "Certificate of Live Birth" online, which is not the document issued by the hospital where he was born.

Like I said, I think Barack was born here, but why all the controversy?

Obama Hates the Second Amendment

A candidate questionnaire shows that Obama supported a ban on handguns in 1996. In 1998, he backed a ban on the sale of all semiautomatic guns (a ban that would encompass the vast majority of guns sold in the U.S.) In 2004, he advocated banning gun sales within five miles of a school or park (essentially a ban on all guns sold in almost all the states). Possibly, even more importantly, he served on the board of the Joyce Foundation, probably the largest private funder of anti-gun and pro-ban groups and research in the country.

The Obama campaign “flatly denied” the 1996 statement supporting a ban on handguns, blaming it instead on a staffer from his state senate race who they said had incorrectly filled out the candidate questionnaire. But the Politico obtained a copy of the statement and found Mr. Obama’s own handwritten notes on it indicating that he had personally checked and corrected answers.

Obama's friend of the day: Saul Alinsky

Saul Alinsky is from Chicago and he was born in 1909. He is a former academic who turned radical socialist.

Saul Alinsky’s radicalism was expressed in his 1971 book, “Rules for Radicals: A Pragmatic Primer for Realistic Radicals.” In that book, Alinsky said, “Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology, and history (and who is to know where mythology leaves off and history begins -- or which is which), the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom -- Lucifer.” Yes that's right, he admires Satan.

Alinsky is a confirmed atheist who Barack has mentioned as being a mentor of his (as an aside, Hillary did her senior thesis on him too). He is a crazy leftist socialist who said in his book:

“There is another reason for working inside the system. Dostoyevsky said that taking a new step is what people fear most. Any revolutionary change must be preceded by a passive, affirmative, non-challenging attitude toward change among the mass of our people. They must feel so frustrated, so defeated, so lost, so futureless in the prevailing system that they are willing to let go the past and chance the future. This acceptance is the reformation essential to any revolution. To bring on this reformation requires that the organizer work inside the system…”

In other words, Alinsky didn't view America as a wonderful place where capitalism succeeds and rewards hard work. He wanted to create a revolution by making the "have nots" enraged by what the "haves" had achieved, in order to make the "have nots" seize power from the "haves". Alinsky thought America was flawed and must be knocked down, in order to be built back up in his image. He WANTED people to be miserable, frustrated, defeated and lost. I see a lot of this in Barack's speeches.

Alinsky is considered the father of community organizing. A few years after his death, some of his cronies hired Barack to be a community organizer and trained him in the "Alinsky school". Hmmmmmm. Barack and Michelle Obama have both quoted Alinsky in various speeches. Saul Alinsky's son was quoted as saying "I am proud to see my father's model for organizing is being applied successfully."

Obama Wouldn't Qualify to Work for His Own Staff

Check out the questionnaire that people who want to work for Obama's staff have to fill out. Good Lord! Have you ever seen anything so in-depth in your life? I would love to know the answers to most of these questions about Barack himself, but alas I probably never will.

Some of my personal favorites:

question 59 - do you or anyone in your family own a gun? (since he hates the 2nd amendment, I'm sure you'd be disqualified right then and there if you actually owned one)

questions 20 and 61 - you must list your personal associations (now that's the pot calling the kettle black, no racial pun intended, I would love to see a list of Obama's associates)

question 26 - you must list real estate owned (that's funny since a convicted felon helped Obama purchase his house)

question 18 - my personal favorite - any affiliations you've had with organizations that are part of the current economic crisis - I find this hilarious since Obama had a direct hand in the economic crisis by filing a lawsuit for ACORN to attempt to force a bank to make bad loans which is what led to this whole thing.

There are more laughable questions, but bottom line, Barack would NEVER be able to withstand this kind of scrutiny. Good thing for him that no one asked him any questions like this.

Another of Obama's buddies: Tony Rezko.

He's a political fundraiser, real estate developer and restaurateur in Chicago. He was one of Barack's first major financial contributors. Starting in 2003, he was one of the people on Obama's U.S. Senate campaign finance committee. He threw an early fundraiser for Obama which was instrumental in providing Obama with seed money for his first U.S. Senate race. Over $250,000 in Obama's campaign funds was identified as coming from Rezko or his close associates.

Obama bought a house in Chicago for $1.65 million in 2005. Rezko's wife bought the adjoining lot for $625K the same day. Rezko later sold Obama a 10 foot strip of land for $104,500, which was a big favor for Obama, because it made Rezko's land less attractive for development. A couple of years later, as a return favor, Barack supported a low income senior citizen development project that ultimately netted Rezko $14 million in taxpayer funds, including an $885,000 fee for Rezko and his partner.

What's Rezko doing now, after making deals with Obama and raising $$ for his campaigns? He's in federal prison. Rezko and several others were indicted on federal charges in October 2006, for using their connections to the state boards to demand kickbacks from businesses that wanted to do business with the state. Rezko was found guilty of 16 of the 24 charges filed against him.

Another of Obama's buddies: William Ayers.

He's a professor at the Univ. of Illinois - Chicago. In 1969 he formed a radical left organization called Weathermen and was one of its top leaders. In 1969, Ayers participated in planting a bomb at a statue dedicated to police casualties in the 1886 Haymarket Riot. Ayers participated in the bombings of New York City Police Headquarters in 1970, the U.S. Capitol Building in 1971, and the Pentagon in 1972, as he noted in his 2001 book. He gave numerous interviews before his book was published in 2001 and said to a N.Y. Times reporter that "I don't regret setting bombs" and "I feel we didn't do enough", and, when asked if he would "do it all again" he was quoted as saying "I don't want to discount the possibility."

He's also been quoted as saying: "I am a radical, Leftist, small 'c' communist ... [Laughs] Maybe I'm the last communist who is willing to admit it. [Laughs] We have always been small 'c' communists in the sense that we were never in the [Communist] party and never Stalinists. The ethics of Communism still appeal to me."

Why the history lesson? Because Barack has ties with this radical. The two served together on the Woods Fund Board from 1999 until Obama left in 2002. They attended board meetings, retreats, and at least one news conference together.

Ayers had other contact with Obama as a resident of Chicago's Hyde Park neighborhood, hosting Obama's first fund raising reception in his first Illinois state Senate campaign in 1995, appearing on education panels together, and donating to Obama's campaign in April 2001. Also, Obama visited Ayers’ home for a meeting at the start of his first state Senate bid in the mid-’90s.

For the next several days, I am going to do one post each day about one of Obama's bosom buddies who also happens to be a sleaze. I realize this is probably old news to some but probably not all of you.

Sleaze #1: Jeremiah Wright

The scoop: Obama first met Jeremiah Wright, a preacher at the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, in the 1980's, when he began attending his church. He officiated at his wedding as well as his children's baptisms. The title of his memoir was inspired by one of Wright's sermons. So Barack and Jeremiah are pretty tight, right?

In 2008, some of Wright's controversial sermons were uncovered by the mainstream media. In these "sermons", he blamed the 9/11 attacks on the U.S., he said the U.S. invented AIDS to kill black people, he said "God &*^& America", and many other truly hateful, bitter things about the U.S. and blacks (including the lovely nickname Condoskeezer Rice). He is truly full of hatred for the U.S. This is Barack's preacher and "spiritual adviser" for 20 years and he never had any idea that these were Wright's opinions? Either he's lying about how involved he is in his church to make himself look good, or he's lying about his relationship with Wright to make himself look good.

Stanley Kurtz, who wrote a cover story on Jeremiah Wright for National Review, said "Nearly every sermon Wright preaches, as well as his now-infamous bulletins and church magazines, is filled with his radicalism, and it's therefore impossible not to conclude that Obama was broadly attracted to Wright's politics."

At the beginning of the controversy, Barack said he had never heard any of these opinions from Wright. Then, he said he had heard some controversial statements from Wright while he was in church. He later completely denounced him after realizing the controversy wasn't going to go away. True loyalty to his preacher of 20 years.

Things the Media Never Told Us

My uncle sent me a forward with a lot of unanswered questions about our next President. I am going to do a little digging into some of these that interest me in the future.

I have heard and read a lot of rumors about Obama, some of which I don't believe and some of which I do. It would be really nice to know if they were true, but the media really doesn't seem to care. The media does, however, care about Joe the Plumber's background and how much the RNC spends on clothes for Sarah Palin.

Things I would love to know:

• What kind of grades did Obama make in college
• How did he get into Harvard
• When did he meet Bill Ayers
• When did he stop using drugs
• What is his medical history
• What's the extent of his affiliation with socialism/communism
• Why is he no longer a licensed attorney
• Did he lie on his Bar application
• Would he qualify for a national security clearance
• What passport did he use to travel to Pakistan in 1981
• Who are his ex-girlfriends
• Was he ever an Indonesian citizen
• Why does his Kenyan grandmother insist he was born there
• Was he ever named Barry Soetero
• Why did a crook help him purchase his home
• What does the long version of his birth certificate say
• Why did he listen to Reverend Wright's sermons for 20 years
• How many times did he take his daughters to listen to Reverend Wright
• What did he do as chair of the Annenberg Challenge
• What is the depth of his relationship with ACORN
• Why did he help an anti-America, pro-Islamic candidate as Kenya's president against U.S. interests

I am not saying there is something fishy in each one of these questions. I just think that if I am going to be exposed to about 4 days straight of news of the fact that Sarah Palin's 17 year old daughter is pregnant, or that Joe the Plumber (who only asked Barack a question, never ran for office) owes back taxes, then I would really like to know some more things about Obama also.

You have to hand it to the media and Obama's marketing team - people didn't know anything about him, his background, or his positions on issues, they just knew they liked him!

But That's Not Fair!

Obama wants to almost double the capital gains tax from 15 percent to 28 percent. In other words, you buy an asset, hold it a while, it goes up in value, and when you sell it you pay 28 percent of your profit to the feds. Well, the government needs that money, right?
Actually, studies have concluded that when the capital gains rate goes up, government revenue goes down. So in the long run, it is actually COSTING them money to take money from us.
But Obama says he would consider raising the tax for purposes of FAIRNESS!!! In other words, they're rich and you're not and that's not FAIR so we're going to take it from them, even if that results in less money to the gov't. Give me a break! That's not capitalism and that's not the American way. If you don't believe me click here to hear it from the socialist himself: (If you want me to explain to you Barack's ridiculous example of a hedge fund manager and his secretary, let me know - it's a load of crap).
BTW, it's not only rich people that pay capital gains. Darrell bought a house in SC, worked his butt off on it many weekends, sold it at a profit and had to pay capital gains. I guess it wasn't fair that he was able to do that and others can't.

No Choice for Employees

This is old news but I've never mentioned it before - Obama is a sponsor of H.R. 800, the Employee Free Choice Act (an ironic title for the law since in my opinion it drastically limits employees' choices). The EFCA eliminates the right to a secret ballot in union recognition elections. Which means if union organizers want to pay a house call to employees to urge them to vote in favor of unionization, they could. If employees want to pressure other employees to vote to unionize, they can since they will know who's for it and who's against it. It will no longer be possible for an employee to secretly vote against unionization.
Could this bill possibly be a result of all the money the unions give the Democrats? If there are more union members and more forced union dues, do you think that will equal more money for the Democrats?

He's Obam-inable!!

Check out this electoral map: click here. If you looked at the map only, you would think McCain won by a landslide - look at all the red! I decided I am moving to Oklahoma or Alaska, those were the only two places I didn't see any blue at all. Also in several Texas counties McCain had over 90% of the vote. I think we should change the election process from using the electoral college to decide the winner to using square miles of land to determine the winner. Let's see the northeast and southern California win then!

A New Barack-ified Military - Oh My!

Scary Choice

Obama just named his economic transition team. It includes Jennifer Granholm, Michigan's governor. Maybe I should google "Michigan economy" to see what kind of job she has done transitioning Michigan's economy? Truly frightening. One of my only hopes was that this guy would seek wise counsel, but I don't know why I thought that considering the counsel he's kept in the past.

Change We Can Believe In

Fellow Business Executives:
As the CFO of a business that employees 140 people, I have resigned myself to the fact that Barack Obama will be our next President, and that our taxes and government fees will increase in a BIG way.
To compensate for these increases, I figure that the Clients will have to see an increase in our fees to them of about 8% but since we cannot increase our fees right now due to the dismal state of our economy, we will have to lay off eight of our employees instead. This has really been eating at me for a while, as we believe we are family here and I didn't know how to choose who will have to go.
So, this is what I did. I strolled thru our parking lot and found 8 Obama bumper stickers on our employees' cars and have decided these folks will be the first to be laid off. I can't think of a more fair way to approach this problem. These folks wanted change; I gave it to them.If you have a better idea, let me know.

Snobama

Obama ridiculed John McCain for not knowing how many houses he had. He was trying to portray McCain as an out of touch elitist, while good ole Obama is just a regular working stiff, right?
Last summer while campaigning in Iowa, Barack told voters: "Anybody gone into Whole Foods lately and see what they charge for arugula? I mean, they're charging a lot of money for this stuff."

Michelle Obama's Love Letter

Wow, I didn't know partial birth abortion was a "legitimate medical procedure". I thought it was sticking scissors into a full-term baby's skull. Silly me. I'm so glad I have Michelle Obama to set me straight.

I'm also glad to know we can't depend on "untested amateurs". Gee, I would hate to have an amateur in an important position like the President of the United States. Imagine if we elected someone with only 143 days in the U.S. Senate - scary!!

Barack = Socialist

This one is just plain hilarious.

Obama gets his panties in a wad anytime anyone refers to him as a socialist. Internet gurus just found out that he was a member of the "New Party" in 1996, which was established by the Democratic Socialists of America. People in his campaign have denied he was ever a member of said party. The DSA and New Party then tried to cover up any record of his membership in said party. However, the Internet Archive Organization, a non-profit which saves information transmitted on the internet, archived a page which mentioned his membership in said party. On a New Party update, Barack is mentioned as having won an Illinois state senate seat. Read it here if you don't believe me.

Obama: America No Longer a Christian Nation

This is an excellent Obama-nation that was written by my mom:

Barack Obama has said that the US is not a Christian nation. He said this as a factual statement, something that he believes is true, and did not bemoan the fact, instead implying that this is a good thing.

!!!!!!!

Excuse me, Mr. Obama. Have you read the Constitution? Have you read anything ever written by the Founding Fathers? Have you read anything by Abraham Lincoln? The United States is now and always has been (and pray that it always will be) a Christian nation.

This is not to say that other faiths are unwelcome or persecuted here. Religious freedom is one of the great things about this country and our Constitution. You can be a Muslim or Jew or Buddhist or atheist here with full rights. Try being a Christian in a Muslim country! Your lifespan would be considerably shorter. All faiths are welcome here but we should never forget our Christian heritage. We must never take it for granted. It informs all of our beliefs, consciences, and moral code. It is precious.

For Obama to say that this is not a Christian country absolutely appalls me. I am so bumfuzzled that I don't even know what to say. If people would just listen to what he says, instead of how he says it, I don't think he would be leading in the polls. I saw a video of a reporter asking Obama supporters questions like "Do you support Obama because he is pro-life or because of his 15 years experience in the US Senate?" It didn't matter what ridiculous reasons the reporter gave them, the people always went right along with it, naming one of the two reasons the reporter mentioned. They didn't know what he believes, yet they support him. They are voting for personality and charisma, not character and certainly not for his positions.

Not a Christian nation!!!! I beg to differ!!!

(Sorry for the above rant. I just couldn't believe it when I heard it. Maybe he should spend a little time in a hospital, I think he would realize how strongly Christian this country is. I guess it would be easier to believe in abortion if you are not Christian though.) (That sound you're hearing is me gnashing my teeth.)

Spread the Wealth Around - But Not to his Family

Did you know Obama has several half-siblings in Africa? I only know the details of one. His name is George Hussein Obama. He lives in abject poverty in a hut and makes $12 a year. Obama is aware of his half-siblings and has met George twice. Do you think Barack opens his $4 million a year wallet to help him or his other sibling out? NO. So let me get this straight, Obama wants to take MORE money from my family to help the "less fortunate" but he can't toss his half -siblings a $20 bill once a year?

Also, a British newspaper recently turned up an aunt of his who lives in a Boston slum! She's an illegal alien and saved up $260 to send to his campaign, which is illegal (illegal aliens can't contribute to presidential campaigns). I'm devastated

Welcome all new blog readers!

As many of you know, I am very passionate about politics. I began being extremely disappointed in the media's coverage of Barack Obama in 2008, so I decided to start sending out daily emails entitled "The Obama-nation of the Day" to my family in the summer of 2008. Each email was dedicated to some disturbing fact I had discovered about Barack Obama, many of which I doubt the general public is aware of. I think if the media had done its job and reported these facts Obama wouldn't have stood a chance against Hillary Clinton in the primaries, and the thought of him becoming our President would have been a joke.

Well we all know what's happened since then so to let off some steam, between now and the dreaded Inauguration Day, I am going to sift through my archives and post all of my previous emails just so all my readers are fully aware of what kind of person we are dealing with. When we know who we're dealing with, we shouldn't be surprised about what kind of decisions he makes.

Once that dreaded day comes, the blog is going to shift focus to chronicle what he is actually doing while he's in office.
