Just Try to Silence Me, Obama

A statement from the White House warned us "not to expect instant miracles from the $787 billion economic stimulus bill he will sign this week, but said it would help eventually.” White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said “the economy is going to get worse before it gets better.” Click here to read more. Wow, so we spent almost $1 trillion to "help the economy improve" but it's not actually going to do that anytime soon? Thanks, thanks a lot Obama.

This scares me worse than anything Obama has done so far: The Fairness Doctrine. In case you haven't heard of it, it is an old FCC rule that said that if you hold a radio broadcasting license and you present political ideas on your airwaves, you must present both sides equally. Extremely popular conservative radio talk show hosts like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity would be off the air, because none of their listeners care to listen to liberal nonsense. In fact, really no one cares to listen to liberal nonsense on the radio, as evidenced by the huge failures of almost every liberal talk radio host out there, and the huge successes of conservatives. Recently, there have been new rumblings among Democrats about reintroducing the Fairness Doctrine.

Back in March 2008, "Senator Obama does not support re-imposing the Fairness Doctrine on broadcasters,” said press secretary Michael Ortiz.

Now, however, his advisors aren't as definite that Obama doesn't support the Fairness Doctrine. Two of his top mouthpieces are now refusing to answer whether Obama would support it or not. Click here to read more.

If they take away talk radio from me, I swear I will not sit idly by. Let's keep an eye on this and see what the Obam-inable one has in store to silence conservatives.
