Obam-inable quote of the day: If lawmakers don't pass this spend-ulus bill right now, "This recession might linger for years. Our economy will lose 5 million more jobs. Unemployment will approach double digits. Our nation will sink deeper into a crisis that, at some point, we may not be able to reverse," Obama wrote in a newspaper piece in the Washington Post. Way to go, Obama, let's terrify all Americans so you can get your way.
He also said that more tax cuts are NOT needed, saying "I reject these theories, and so did the American people when they went to the polls in November and voted resoundingly for change."
In other words, do it now or we are doomed. We will not be able to recover unless we spend $1 Trillion dollars on nothing. Do you know how much $1 Trillion dollars is? I really didn't grasp it until I watched Huckabee last weekend. $1 trillion could buy 1,000 boxes of Girl Scout cookies for every American (now there's a plan I might actually support). $1 trillion is $3,271 per person. $1 trillion would cover the Feb. 2007 market values of Microsoft, Wal-mart, Google, Coca-cola, Pepsi, Time Warner, and Apple combined with $23 billion left over.
