Obama's Getting Snippy

When asked about fiscal discipline and entitlements reform in St. Louis today, Obama said "Those of you who are watching certain news channels on which I'm not very popular, and you see folks waving tea bags around, let me just remind them that I am happy to have a serious conversation about how we are going to cut our health care costs down over the long term, how we are going to stabilize Social Security.” “But,” Obama continued, “let's not play games and pretend that the reason [for the deficit] is because of the Recovery Act."

Ouch! I guess our savior doesn't like seeing hundreds of thousands of Americans finally stand up to let our voices be heard.

Does he think that we didn't know there was already a deficit? Everyone knows that. What we were standing up for was his crazy spending that is going to quadruple the deficit in a few years at the rate he's going. And BTW Obama, I would love to hear how you are going to cut health care costs and stabilize Social Security. Because I really haven't heard anything that gives me any hope whatsoever that you are going to do either of those things.

You are Making it Too Easy, Obama

There is so much tomfoolery coming out of the White House these days.

First, a White House photo op nearly scared already scarred 9-11 victims in NY to death. Air Force 747 did a low flyover over Lower Manhattan in order to take some nifty pictures. The White House military office ordered the mission. Hey Obama, if you are looking to trim some fat from your budget, useless pictures for your scrapbook are a good place to start. Also, Obama is in a bind about what to do over Guantanamo detainees. The U.S. is "relatively close" to a decision about which of the 240 dangerous terrorist detainees to set free and which to put on trial. We are stuck begging with European countries to take them. Finally, the funniest, most hilarious thing of all. Obama's quote from his weekly radio address last week: “We cannot settle for a future of rising deficits and debts that our children cannot pay,” the president says, adding that we must “recognize that we cannot meet the challenges of today with old habits and stale thinking. So much of our government was built to deal with different challenges from a different era. Too often, the result is wasteful spending, bloated programs, and inefficient results. It’s time to fundamentally change the way that we do business in Washington.”

What a Hypocrite

Here we go again. Obama flew his enormous Air Force One jet to Iowa yesterday specifically to talk about the benefits of being green. No other reason. Ever heard of teleconferencing, Obama?

Also, remember Barack's new BFF, Hugo Chavez? He went back home and bragged to his subjects that under Obama, Venezuela-style socialism has begun to reach the U.S. Click here to read more.

And another thing. This article points out that Obama is releasing memos about US torture techniques and isn't ruling out prosecution to attorneys who authorized the torture. Never mind the fact that said torture undoubtedly saved American lives by uncovering very credible plots to blow up the Brooklyn Bridge and the tallest building on the West Coast. However, Obama's ignoring the torture being committed by the Mexican government. As the article points out, torture only bothers him when the subjects are terrorists wishing to kill Americans.

He is Making Us Less Safe and Spending Us Into the Poorhouse!

Obama's Department of Homeland Security chief Janet Napolitano said on Larry King, when talking about illegal aliens crossing the Mexican border, that "crossing the border is not a crime per se." Yes, Janet, it is. You picked yourself a doozy there Obama. Don't you feel safe with her protecting our homeland and our borders? I can't tell who amuses me more, her, Biden, or that poor schmuck Robert Gibbs who stands there before the White House press corps constantly trying to justify the obam-inable policies. Another knee slapper: Obama signed a $5.7 BILLION program called Give/Serve to triple the size of the AmeriCorps program. Can we really afford that? And didn't you JUST, in an impressive show of leadership, order your department heads to trim $100 million from their budgets asap? So one day later you spend $5.7 Billion on something we can't afford.

If I don't laugh about it I will cry.

A Round-up of Recent Obam-inable Actions, Part 2

Obama's been keeping busy. Some of his latest Obam-inable actions:

- Obama obviously was not pleased at taxpayers rising up and protesting his massive spending. So what does he do to appease us? He orders department chiefs to cut $100 million from their budgets. Wow, that's great Obama! I believe it's a whopping 1/36,000 of the money you are planning on spending next year. (Or, to someone making $50,000 per year, it's like cutting 72 cents from their annual spending). It's also equal to the interest that accumulates each and every day on the spend-ulus bill that congress passed this year. How stupid do you think we are? Do you think you tossing us a crumb is going to shut us up?

Then, the same day he ordered the budget cut, he announced that the US should loan the International Monetary Fund $100 BILLION. Let's cut $100 million, then spend $100 billion the same day! Click here to read more.

- Obama ordered the release of memos about torture interrogation methods last week. As it turns out, he only ordered the memos released that make the US look bad. Cheney wants memos released showing how successful our methods were at getting terrorists to squeal. Click here to read more.

- Obama has a new BFF (for those not in elementary school in the 80's, that means best friend forever). His name is Hugo Chavez, and he is a ruthless dictator from Venezuela. Chavez once called Bush the "devil" and Obama an "ignoramus". But all those things are in the past now, we should forget about that. They cordially shook hands last week and Obama has a huge grin pasted on his face. Chavez was kind enough to give Obama a gift, a lovely book called "Open Veins of Latin America: Five Centuries of the Pillage of a Continent", which chronicles America's criminal actions towards Latin America. Obama thought the book was a "nice gesture". I am guessing Chavez will skip back to Venezuela and brag to all his subjects about how he proved to Obama how horrible America is by giving him that book. Sigh.

More Abortion Lies

Obama's nominee for Health & Human Services Secretary, Kathleen Sebelius, has some issues with taking campaign contributions from a well known late term abortion doctor, George Tiller. You can read my previous post here. Well, it has now come to light that she actually received three times as much in donations from him as she reported to the Senate. She told them she received $12,000 in donations, when she actually got $23,000 more than that from donations Tiller made to a political action committee Sebelius formed. She didn't tell any of the senators about that, although one senator asked her specifically about donations from Tiller. Tiller gave Sebelius $35,000, or, since he charges $5,000 to kill a full term baby, he gave her the proceeds of 7 murders. The Health and Human services department said the omission was an "oversight" that Sebelius would correct.

Slutty Girls = Easter

When you think of Easter, what do you think of? The resurrection of Jesus, Easter bunnies and chicks, family dinners and egg hunts? Do you normally associate Easter with slutty girls who pose for dirty pictures in men's magazines wearing lingerie and sing dirty songs with lyrics like "Make them boys go loco, they want my treasure, So they get their pleasures from my photo"?

Apparently Obama thinks slutty girls are the perfect representation of Easter. Why else would he pick Stacy Ferguson, aka Fergie, to sing the national anthem at the White House easter egg hunt? More Government Spending

You all know how I feel about the Obam-inable one, but I do have to give credit where credit is due. Navy snipers shot those pirates after the pirates had guns pointed at the captain, apparently on orders from Obama. Maybe if his back is against the wall in military matters he will do the right thing, who knows? Click here to read more.

Now that I've been all warm and fuzzy towards him today, let's talk about his latest Obam-inable actions. The government is going to buy 17,600 fuel efficient cars in order to help U.S. automakers. The cars will be purchased for the "government fleet" and will cost $285 million. The decision was made to buy the vehicles on a short timetable in order to give a boost to the economy and to show Obama's support for US automakers. What? This seems like a waste to me. Haven't the taxpayers already shown their support for US automakers? Does the government fleet even need new cars? Does buying them on a "short timetable" mean they were an impulse buy? Doesn't the government need to get bids or go through a process like that? So many questions, so few answers. Sigh.

Obama the Yellow (and Green)

Right now an American ship captain is being held by muslim Somali pirates. Our destroyer the USS Bainbridge is nearby with guns aimed at the boat. This brave captain jumped overboard to try to swim to the destroyer. So wouldn't the perfect thing to do be to shoot the pirates or destroy the ship since the captain is off the boat? But instead, we just sat there. Who ordered the ship not to fire? I don't know.

Instead, we are negotiating with these thugs. Whose idea was this? I have an idea. But since I don't know the entire story, I am hesitant to place blame. But I am very scared for our safety for at least the next 4 years and probably beyond.

But something I can place blame on him for is his completely hypocritical attitude towards saving our planet. He wants to tell us what kind of cars to drive and where to keep our thermostats (and yes he actually did tell voters where to keep their thermostats and what kind of cars to drive), while he keeps his office hot enough to grow orchids in the winter and flies out to Denver in his fuel burning jet to sign legislation that could have been signed in D.C. And he flew there for the SOLE purpose of showing how green he was.

Now he's ordering pizza ingredients be shipped from St. Louis to D.C., along with a chef to prepare them. A 1600 mile round trip. The restaurant he is requesting them from is Pi, and its website brags about how committed it is to "environmentally benign success".

If he wants pizza and a chef to travel 1600 miles to feed him, that's his prerogative. But QUIT telling me how I should conserve resources while doing whatever the heck you want to. Click here to read more.

Obama's "Handshake"

There is so much depressing news coming from the Obama administration. He goes over to Europe and trashes us, calling us an "arrogant nation" and saying we aren't a Christian nation any longer. Actually, since as of last Sunday he hasn't gone to church any of the 11 Sundays since he's taken office (although during the campaign religion was such an important part of his life) and almost every single appointment he has made is pro-abortion at any stage of pregnancy, maybe he is an expert on who isn't Christian.

So let's think about something funny. Remember that very deep bow at the waist Obama gave to the king of Saudi Arabia? The White House is now claiming that it wasn't a bow, it was Obama shaking hands with the king, and since the king was so much shorter than he was, he had to apparently almost touch the ground to do so. That's hilarious. Obama, just admit you don't have any foreign policy experience, that's what happens when America elects someone who has accomplished nothing, and so America gets what it deserves. Now some good news! On April 15, there are now scheduled to be over 450 "tea parties" all across the country, with regular citizens protesting what Washington is doing. I am very excited. When I first went on their site to see where they were going to be held in GA, I think there were only 2, in Atlanta and Savannah. Now there are 15 in places I've never heard of in Georgia. This is a clue that people are starting to wake up and it is very encouraging. Obama's Big Test by Kim Jong Il

Picture these two scenarios:

My three year old daughter throws a book at my one year old daughter's head, in direct violation of the rules as she knows them.

Response #1: "Daughter, your father and I are going to meet in two months to decide your punishment! We may or may not send you a letter condemning your actions."

Response #2: "You go sit on the naughty stool right now! And if you do it again I'm taking away your favorite doll for the rest of the day."

When N. Korea launched a long-range rocket this weekend in direct violation of a UN resolution, what was Obama's response most similar to? Which response would have been most effective?

"North Korea broke the rules, once again, by testing a rocket that could be used for long-range missiles," Obama said in Prague. "This provocation underscores the need for action, not just ... in the U.N. Security Council, but in our determination to prevent the spread of these weapons."

THEN, the UN couldn't even agree on their response, failing to even issue a condemnation! They couldn't even agree to reprimand him!! Why are we even a member of this useless organization? What are our membership dues up to now?

OK, so the UN's useless, big surprise, so what are you going to do now Obama? Answer: absolutely nothing. I wonder what Kim Jong Il's up to? Now that he knows the most powerful country in the world is going to stand idly by while he turns Seoul into a "sea of fire", as threatened in the past? Obama's Protecting the Bankers?

Speaking to a group of CEOs of the largest financial institutions in the country last week, Obama let his feelings about their large salaries be known. One CEO defended the large salaries, saying "These are complicated companies”. Another said: “We’re competing for talent on an international market.”

Obama's response? "Be careful how you make those statements, gentlemen. The public isn’t buying that. My administration is the only thing between you and the pitchforks.”

Excuse me? His administration is the only thing between them and the pitchforks? Wasn't it Democrats who forced the banks to make these horrible loans which led to all this? Isn't Obama the one on TV every other day fanning the flames of rage against the CEOs and corporate greed, the purpose of which I think is to project anger from him and his spending onto someone else? Everyone I know who is mad is mad about the crazy spending going on by him. And he thinks HE is protecting them from people with pitchforks? Give me a break! Click here to read more.

A Round-up of Recent Obam-inable Actions

There are several Obam-inable things our leader has done lately.

First, a hilarious one. Guess what song was on the iPod he gave the Queen? Send in the Clowns!! I kid you not. There could not be a more appropriate song out there for him to put on that iPod. Here's a list of the other songs on there.

Second, an update. Last night Congress passed that Obam-inable budget which raised spending by 10% over Bush's last year. This is in addition to that ridiculous stimulus bill. I guess if you are in the middle of a $$ crisis, you should just spend more! What a plan. In good news though, the number of Democrats opposing this plan has increased since the stimulus bill was passed.

Third, Obama executed a bow so deep to the Saudi king that he almost fell down. Contrast this with the handshake he gave the queen of England. Hmmm, Saudi Arabia vs. England. Check out the video on youtube.

Finally, the most disturbing, Obama and the other world leaders at the G-20 summit announced yesterday that they were pledging $1.1 TRILLION in new funds to rescue the world's economy. $1.1 TRILLION!! How dare he? How much of this is coming from us? Here's just a crazy wild guess - the vast majority. I am getting sick of this. What a Tacky Present, Part 2

Do you remember the huge embarrassment Obama caused us when he gave Gordon Brown a set of DVDs after Brown brought Obama an ornamental pen holder made from the timbers of the Victorian anti-slave ship HMS Gannet (oak from its sister ship was used to make an Oval Office desk), a framed commission for HMS Resolute and a first edition of the seven-volume biography of Churchill by Sir Martin Gilbert? Did you know the DVDs wouldn't even play on British DVD players? Remember how I mentioned that if you can buy the gift at Wal-mart, you probably shouldn't give it to the prime minister of your major ally in the world?

Obama had a chance to redeem himself. He's on his first official trip to Europe as President. Well guess what, he bought another Wal-mart gift, this time for the Queen of England!! He gave her an iPod. She already owns an iPod. The iPod includes photos from Obama's inauguration, audio of his speech at the 2004 Democrat convention, and audio of his 2009 Inaugural address. So not only did he buy her a crappy gift (for a Queen), he loaded it with photos of him and speeches of his. Does this man's ego know no bounds? Click here and here to read more.

Another Abortionist & Tax Cheat in Obama's Cabinet. Big Surprise.

Obama's nominee for Health & Human Services secretary, Kathleen Sebelius, just paid almost $8,000 in back taxes. This is the SIXTH nominee of Obama's to have tax problems. Why do these politicians think they can not pay taxes, and as soon as a job opens up in Obama's administration just write a check for taxes they never paid plus interest (but never penalties, which is what "normal" people get stuck with) and then go ahead and take the job? Because Obama lets them! The worst is Timothy Geithner, who has a paper trail showing he purposely avoided paying taxes. Geithner's job? Secretary of the Treasury. He also vowed to crack down on tax cheats. Hehe.

Sebelius has bigger problems than her tax woes. She is a radical pro-choicer. As a governor of Kansas, she has vetoed several bills that would restrict late term abortions. One bill would have strengthened the state's ban on late term abortions by authorizing private lawsuits against providers. The bill passed both Kansas legislative houses by a 2 to 1 vote. Another bill she vetoed would have required a medical reason for a late term abortion. She spoke at a Planned Parenthood fundraiser in 2007.

In 2007, she was requested not to take Communion in Kansas b/c of her pro-choice actions, and that request will also apply to her time in D.C. In 2007, pictures of surfaced of her with George Tiller at the governor's mansion. She was thanking contributors to her campaign. Tiller is a doctor who specializes in late term and partial birth abortions. According to Bill O'Reilly, who has investigated Tiller, Tiller will "abort babies at any time for just about any reason if you pay him $5,000".

Tiller has given over $12,000 in blood money to Sebelius's campaigns, and he gave $120,000 to the Democratic Governors Association, which also gave Sebelius's political action committee $200,000. Tiller is currently facing a disciplinary action from the Kansas Board of th Healing Arts for his ties to another late-term abortion provider.
