Obama is frantically scrambling for votes in the House to shove the Senate's version of the healthcare bill down the throats of the American people. What better way to buy a vote than to offer a federal judgeship to the brother of one of the House Democrats who voted against the bill in November?
That's right, Jim Matheson from Utah voted against the House health care bill in November. Not so coincidentally, the White House sent out a press release announcing that Obama nominated Scott M. Matheson, Jr. to be a judge on the U.S. Ct. of Appeals, 10th Circuit.
I guess this is a better bribery tactic than giving sweet deals to residents of entire states.

Tell Me Lies, Tell Me Sweet Little Lies
Sorry for the lack of Obama-nations. I've been so busy and with the little free time I've had I haven't felt like infuriating myself by reading or writing about the communist in chief.
Some fun little tidbits about Obama:
1. Last week he talked about how important frugality was, at the same time he's on track to be the biggest debtor President in US history. He will outspend FDR, even though FDR was dealing with the Great Depression and WWII. During FDR's 12 fiscal years as Pres., federal spending averaged 19.35% of GDP. During Obama's four years, his federal spending will average 24.13% of GDP. Actually, during FDR's first 8 fiscal years, he only spent 9.85% of GDP. That was until the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor.
2. He's still defending that STUPID spendulus bill. He had the gall to say it already created 2 million jobs and it will create 1.5 million in 2010. Do you think we're stupid Obama? A CBS poll recently showed only 6% of Americans thought it created jobs!!!! SIX PERCENT! Even the hard core left doesn't think it created jobs.
3. He recently referred to the Bush years as the "lost decade". Really Obama? When Bush was pres. unemployment averaged between 4 and 5% and I remember my 401k had a lot more than it does now.
4. On Feb. 2, he said all the "red ink" in the federal budget "keeps him awake at night". His solution? Sign an executive order creating the bipartisan National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform to make recommendations on how to reduce the country's debt. That's after he approves a budget that is over $1 trillion in the red.

More Sweet Deals for Labor Unions
This one will make you mad. Have you heard that in order to pay for Obama-care, people who receive a "Cadillac" health insurance policy from their employers are going to be taxed on it? Under the Senate Finance plan, health insurance plans that cost more than $8,000 a year for individuals ($21,000 for families) will pay a FORTY percent tax on the amount above that threshold. I think the insurance company picks up the rest of the tab. Not that it matters who pays it, the ultimate cost will be paid by the insured.
Anyone who has shopped around for insurance knows that it is very easy for a healthy person's insurance plan to cost more than $8,000 a year. And guess which group has a large number of its members with Cadillac plans? I'll give you a hint - they are a huge supporter of Democrats. That's right, labor unions. Labor unions are mad about this new tax.
So guess what they are doing - negotiating with Democrats on an exception to that tax for unions. Reportedly, the unions will drop their objections to the tax if Democrats will carve out an exception to the tax for those plans negotiated under a collective bargaining agreement. Click here to read more about the "Labor Loophole".

I Declare You Unconstitutional, Obama!
I'm rather slow in finding out about this, but did you know that portions of the health care bill passed by the Senate specifically say they cannot be repealed except by a three-fifths vote of the Senate? Are you kidding me? You pass a bill that forces me to buy health insurance, and then you tell me it can only be repealed by a supermajority? I don't think so!!!! That's not constitutional. Of course, who is going to say it's not? A supreme court stacked with Obama nominees?

You're Not Forcing Me to Buy Insurance!
I just started reading Michelle Malkin's book entitled Culture of Corruption and it is horrifying. Page by page it lays out the broken promises, lies and corruption in Obama's administration - which isn't even a year old. For example, he broke his promise that his administration would be transparent and would give the American people five days to review a bill before he signed it into law - with the very first bill he signed. Since then, no bill has been online 5 days before being signed. Most haven't been online at all and some were posted after they were signed.
Speaking of dirty tricks, what do you think of that trick the Senate pulled? Voting Christmas eve morning, when most Americans are occupied, on a 2,000 page healthcare bill no one has read, using OUR money to bribe a Nebraska senator into voting for it, mandating that individual citizens buy products in the private market or face fines - is this the America we know and love? Not everyone needs health insurance. I can think of several groups of people who would be better off saving their money - but under this bill, either you buy it or you pay $750 a year to the feds. I don't think so. I've already decided what I will do if I ever ever receive a notice like that, but I am too much of a lady to write it here.
And another thing, is it a coincidence that after Obama took office the Muslims start coming out of the woodwork? Bush kept us safe after 9/11, but now we have a crazy Muslim doctor killing 13 people at Ft. Hood and a crazy Nigerian Muslim getting onboard a flight with a homemade explosive device. Maybe it's too early to blame Obama, but the US had plenty of warning about both of those guys but did nothing. Only time will tell if this trend will continue, but these incidents dishearten me, as does Obama's attitude towards the War on Terror- oops, I meant the Overseas Contingency Operation.

My Grade for Obama
Are you prepared to puke? OK, read this article about Obama's interview with Oprah. Oprah asked him what grade he gave himself on his time in office and he said a B+. If he gets health care passed, he is getting into the A- range!! Can you believe that? Here's the report card I would give him:
1. Political appointments and advisors: F-
- examples: John Holdren, Kevin Jennings, Anita Dunn, Van Jones
2. Creating jobs: F-
- examples: threatening to raise taxes on small businesses in the form of forcing them to provide healthcare for employees and Cap & Trade; unemployment rising to double digits, underemployment at record levels
3. Decreasing the deficit: F-
- "stimulus bill", the fact that Obama's budget will create $9 billion in budget deficits over the next decade (more debt than every year from 1789 to 2008 combined)
4. National security: F-
- closing Gitmo & bringing terrorists here, scrapping missile defense shield, no more waterboarding, cutting our high tech weapons days after N. Korea starts launching missiles left and right, cutting funds from a program that allows pilots to carry guns on board, releasing security memos about torture interrogation methods
5. Protecting human life: F-
- appointing one radical pro-choicer after another, signed an order allowing federal funds to be used on embryonic stem cell research, repealed "Mexico City policy", health care rationing
6. Foreign relations: F
- gives our allies bogus gifts, makes the US look weak to enemies, criticizing the US constantly to other nations. bowing before every leader you encounter, ignoring a corrupt Iranian election
7. Health Care: F-
- trillions of debt in order to have the best health care system in the world turned over to the same people who run the IRS and the post office
8. Containing Government Waste: F-
- "stimulus" bill, cash for clunkers, trillion dollar deficits annually for as far as the eye can see, Cap & Tax
9. Improving Public Education: F-
- in bed with teachers unions, cut a voucher program for poor black DC school children
10. Being a complete jackass: A+

Obama's Czar Pick Reaches New Low - And That's Saying Something!
Be prepared to be completely disgusted. Obama's "safe schools" czar, Kevin Jennings, is the founder of the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN). In 2000, GLSEN held a Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth which consisted of workshops aimed at 14-21 year olds and offered them lessons on . . . . let's just say very crude homosexual practices. The media got wind of it and there was an uproar. Kevin Jennings claimed to be surprised and said there would be clear guidelines in the future over what the conference was supposed to be about.
So the following year, did GLSEN clean up their act? NO!! Public funds were used for the event, which 450 students attended. I am not going to describe what happened at the event or what was given to the students or what kind of directions were given to the students, and let me tell you, I am not a prude. Click here if you want the gory details. Suffice it to say the conference was disgusting.
This was led by the man in charge of keeping our kids safe. Whose salary you and I are paying!!!

7 Stories Obama Doesn't Want Told
I use Yahoo all the time and it always irks me how pro--Obama their front page stories are. Also pro-global warming, anti-Bush, etc. Well not today! Imagine my joy when I opened yahoo and the main headline is 7 Stories Obama Doesn't Want Told. Check it out!
Also, here's a funny skit about Obama's love affair with his teleprompter.

David Hamilton? Is that the Best You Could Find, Obama?
Another week, another sneaky Saturday night vote by our representatives on a plan to destroy the American healthcare system. Another 2,000 page bill no one who is voting on it has read. Another provision to give Americans who refuse to buy health insurance jail time. Another provision that says that if you are a member of the government run plan, a portion of your premiums go to fund abortions. Sigh.
In other news, an Obama nominee to the 7th circuit court of appeals got confirmed - David Hamilton. I never heard of this guy until today unfortunately. Even more unfortunately for him, a GA senator (as well as a TN senator) voted to allow the vote on this guy to take place. He will be hearing from me after this email is typed.
About David Hamilton:
- he used to be a fund raiser for ACORN (need I say more?)
- he is radically pro-abortion. In Indiana, he kept an informed consent measure from being enforced, which prevented women from finding out about alternatives to and risks of abortion.
- he prevented the Indiana Speaker of the House of Representatives from permitting "sectarian" prayers to be offered during the official House proceedings. What's a sectarian prayer? I'm glad you asked. According to Hamilton, a "sectarian" prayer is one that uses the name of Christ. However, it is not a "sectarian" prayer if the name of Allah is used. This guy won't allow you to say Jesus in a prayer but will allow you to say Allah.
Click here and here to read more. Now, I'm off to call Saxby Chambliss's office to let him have it.

That's a Load of Bull$% Obama
Read the first two paragraphs of this Reuters story:
BEIJING, Nov 18 (Reuters) - President Barack Obama gave his sternest warning yet about the need to contain rising U.S. deficits, saying on Wednesday that if government debt were to pile up too much, it could lead to a double-dip recession.
With the U.S. unemployment rate at 10.2 percent, Obama told Fox News his administration faces a delicate balance of trying to boost the economy and spur job creation while putting the economy on a path toward long-term deficit reduction.
WHAT THE HECK? He is warning us about containing U.S. deficits? Who's run up the largest U.S. deficit ever seen in a mere 10 months? Who is going to put us another trillion dollars in the hole with this health care plan that no one gives a flying flip about right now? His administration is "trying to boost the economy and spur job creation while putting the economy on a path toward long-term deficit reduction"? Does anyone really believe he is trying to spur job creation? Does anyone really believe he is putting our economy on a path toward deficit reduction?

9/11 Attackers in NYC on Our Dime
Why is Obama allowing five 9/11 terrorists to come to the New York, less than 1,000 yards from where their mass murders were committed, to attend a US civilian trial? They will get all the same constitutional protections as American citizens!! What if some bleeding heart judge doesn't like the fact that they had some water splashed in their faces and throws the confessions out or some portions of the evidence out? Why is my tax money paying for this? What was wrong with keeping them at Guantanamo Bay?
As this article points out, there are HUGE problems with this scenario:
- There are discovery requirements placed on prosecutors. In a civilian trial of the bombers of the trade center in 1993, prosecutors were required to turn large amounts of sensitive intelligence information over to the defense. Those exact documents were later found in an al-Qaeda hideout!
- Khalid Sheikh Mohammed , the mastermind, was captured in Pakistan. The intelligence that led to that raid is not known by the general public, but man oh man would al-Qaeda like to know how he was captured. They could learn that at trial.
- A liberal leaning judge could toss out the whole case and send the animals home. These men should have been strung up by their toenails but instead they are going to clean up, put on fancy suits, and have a top notch defense team at our expense.
The article points out that perhaps Obama wants the case to fail. Does that sound crazy? A little, but he just approved new rules for military tribunals that make obtaining convictions there much more difficult or impossible in some cases. Under the new rules, a defendant must have access to classified information used against him, which may lead to fewer prosecutions being sought if the prosecution does not want to damage the source of the information.

Paying for Abortions
Wow - just saw this on Drudge report. Did you know that Speaker Pelosi's (aka Obama's) health care bill that will be voted on this weekend contains a provision that very explicitly says that each participant in the government option will have a minimum of $1 of his monthly premium set aside for abortions? So if my family is somehow forced off our private insurance and onto this plan, we will be paying $48 a year at a minimum for someone to do something that we consider murder?
In addition, the Health and Human Services Secretary is the one who will decide when abortion is allowed under the plan.

You're a Complete Amateur!
The website hotair.com is chock-full of conservative news and commentary, and they also have a hilarious feature called the "Obamateurism of the Day" which highlights what a complete amateur Obama is by showing something ridiculous he's done that day.
Today's was pretty surprising. Obama has a press conference to discuss the shooting at Fort Hood. An extremely serious matter, right? At the beginning of the speech, he says he wants to "give a shout out" to a Native American Congressional Medal of Honor winner. He then spends two full minutes talking about the Tribal Nations Conference. He then says he wanted to spend a lot more time talking about the challenges that lie ahead for Native Americans, but darn it there's been a shooting at Fort Hood. Which is the WHOLE reason everyone was watching.
Could he be any more un-Presidential? He gives a "shout out" to someone, then talks about a Tribal Nations conference, then complains that he has to talk about the Ft. Hood shooting? Somehow it doesn't surprise me that he's more concerned with Native Americans that with our men in uniform. Click here for the video and a transcript.

More $$ for Trial Lawyers!!
I'm sure you've heard that the House is set to vote on a 1,900 page health care bill this week.
It's going to destroy health care in America and will cost us $2.24 million for every word that's written in that 1,900 page bill. I've heard so many negative things about this bill - like states can opt out of participating in the bill, but not paying for it; that the bill requires 42 studies on a variety of medical issues be performed; that the word "tax" is used 214 times and the word "shall" is used 3,425 times - but here's a rather interesting tidbit I heard today.
In Section 2531, the bill establishes an incentive program for states to adopt alternatives to medical liability litigation. That's great, right? Medical malpractice suits are part of the reason health care costs so much. But wait - a state is not eligible for those payments if they limit trial attorneys' fees or impose a cap on damages.
Now wait a second, why would this bill disallow states to limit trial attorneys' fees in medical malpractice cases? That would help bring the cost of health care down, right? This is supposed to be a bill to help fix our health care system, right? Could it be because 95% of trial attorneys' political contributions go to Democrats?

Another $13 Billion Borrowed. What's the Total Up To Now, Obama?
Some good news first - the Tea Party express is about to make its second tour through the country! I'll be there on November 9 and let me tell you, I am FIRED UP. See the detailed map for a location near you.
The bad news - Obama is going to spread more wealth around - $13 billion to be exact. He wants Congress to provide a one-time payment of $250 to help senior citizens weather the recession. The alleged reason is that this year is the first time in decades that seniors on social security haven't gotten a cost of living adjustment. The reason for this is that consumer prices have remained stagnant this year.
Questions for Obama: If the cost of living has stayed the same, why do they need extra money? Is this money being borrowed from China? Is the real reason you are doing this is because seniors are ticked that you are planning to make cuts from their Medicare to "give" everyone health insurance? Are you worried they will vote you and your cronies out since they are the one group that always shows up to vote? Is this going to be a regular ongoing payment? Why don't you just go ahead and resign now? Pretty please?

Peace Prize, Schmease Prize
What is there to say about Obama receiving the Nobel Peace Prize? To get a laugh, check out the Drudge Report's roundup of articles about what a joke that is. Oh, by the way, when do you think the voting occurred on the peace prize? Nine days after Obama took office. That's right, he was actually the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize nine days into his presidency, it just hadn't been announced yet.

Way to Sacrifice, Michelle!
I haven't been in the mood to write any hard hitting Obama-nations this week. Too depressing. The only good news has been the fact that Sarah Palin's biography is #1 on both Amazon and Barnes & Noble, despite the fact it won't be released until Novermber! Take THAT Sarah haters!
But here's an amusing one - did you know that traveling to Copenhagen on the taxpayer's dime with Barack and Oprah Winfrey to try to get the 2016 Olympics to be held in Chicago is a "sacrifice" for Michelle Obama? Oh really, Michelle? Your husband's economic policies have made many, many American families learn the meaning of the word sacrifice. And it doesn't involve a free luxury trip to Europe!
